Nexus Labs crypto is building a global internet supercomputer by linking distributed computing devices (from GPU farms to smartphones) into a unified, verifiable network. Powered by the Nexus zkVM, it connects available compute resources with proof of demand, allowing anyone to contribute computation and earn rewards.
Since December 1st, 2022, the project has successfully raised $27.2M across 2 funding rounds, including a $25M Series A Round led by Pantera Capital.
Nexus OS - WAITLIST Overview
Nexus OS - Review
The Nexus Layer 1 is a decentralized, planetary-scale supercomputer that unifies global compute power into a single, scalable blockchain network. Built around the Nexus zkVM and designed to achieve the Proof Singularity, it enables efficient, verifiable computation across millions of applications through one unified proof system. During the Nexus Testnet Phase 2, the project has seen an outstanding Supercomputer performance: over 2.1M unique users with 3.6M Nodes within 5 days.
The result was achieved with the help of the 4 core Layers of the Nexus Network:
- OS Layer: Hosts verifiable apps using a custom EVM-based VM and serves users through their app;
- Execution Layer: Aggregates global compute to scale horizontally and generates the Universal Proof;
- Consensus Layer: Aligns computation and capital around the Universal Proof to ensure network security and integrity;
- Storage Layer: Maintains the full state of Nexus and its applications with decentralized, scalable storage.
One of the main tools for building such a distributed infrastructure is the Nexus zkVM, a ZK virtual machine that emulates virtual machine execution and produces succinct proofs of correct computation with the help of its core components:
- The Nexus Runtime: A Rust-based runtime supporting public/private inputs, outputs, logging, and benchmarking for seamless guest program development;
- The Nexus zkVM Machine Architecture: A custom RISC-V virtual machine built for prover efficiency, featuring optimized memory handling and a “prove what you use” model;
- The Nexus zkVM: An AIR-based arithmetization of the architecture with full RISC-V32i instruction coverage and offline memory verification;
- The Stwo Prover: A high-performance Circle STARK prover from StarkWare, integrated for fast and scalable zero-knowledge proof generation.

🪙 Nexus Labs Token: Currently, there is no info concerning the native token of the project, however, every L1 blockchain has one for security purposes, so we assume Nexus will launch it as well. Moreover, Nexus OS runs an active Nexus Devnet phase with $NEX being the native tokenBy participating in the Devnet campaign, you can earn NEX points with the potential for a future Nexus Airdrop.
Considering the fantastic results of the Testnet and the project being in its Devnet phase, our team has completely analyzed the Nexus crypto project, revealing its pros and cons:
✅ Nexus OS pros:
- Backed by top-tier funds (Pantera Capital, DragonFly Capital, and others);
- Huge Partners ecosystem (A total of 40+ partners, including Polyhedra, AlignedLayer, and others);
- Above-average SMM, SEO, and Growth Marketing score;
- High PR performance;
- CEO has work experience in a Tier-1 company (Google).
❌ Nexus OS cons:
- Below-average Marketing Infrastructure and Influencer Marketing performance;
- No info on tokenomics yet;
- No Security Audits;
- No Roadmap (the project claims to announce it soon);
- Not all core team members have experience in Top-Tier companies.
