Story Protocol is a general-purpose Layer 1 blockchain network built with the Cosmos SDK, enabling the creation of programmable intellectual property. It is designed to provide a simple, scalable, and secure environment for users to monetize their IP assets and for businesses to purchase or lease them.

The Story L1 network allows users to bridge any intellectual property on-chain with specified terms of utilization and ownership rights for specific IP assets, as well as withdraw the asset into the real world in the form of a legal contract. This is achieved by implementing three key components within the Story Protocol, including:

• Story L1 blockchain: The core component of the platform, designed to handle complex data structures. By implementing precompiled primitives to traverse data structures and using the CometBFT consensus, Story Protocol ensures that transactions are executed quickly and cost-efficiently.
• Proof-of-Creativity: A set of smart contracts natively deployed on the Story Protocol that allows users to register their IP as assets within the network. When registering their IP, users receive a specific NFT that carries the IP metadata while binding the token to the specific account within the network.
• Programmable IP License: An on-chain IP asset minting process enforced by an off-chain legal contract, enabling users to transfer ownership rights from the network to the real world while maintaining all the rules and terms of use and monetization of the specific asset.

This comprehensive approach to trading, storing, and monetizing IP assets on-chain through the Story Protocol crypto platform makes the creation of various IPFi dApps within the network possible.
