Thena Finance

Thena is a web3 “Superapp” designed to onboard the masses onto the BNB chain ecosystem. It corners every type of liquidity in one app to create a CEX-styled, unified user experience, hence, simplifying the on-chain onboarding process, kinda similar to StarkNet’s recent Superapp - Nostra Finance. 

This is achieved by integrating multiple DeFi apps each executing different roles, but serving a single goal of improving on-chain user experience, including:

• Thena: A spot decentralized exchange, enabling users to acquire digital assets and earn yield by contributing those assets to the LPs. The main outstanding feature of the Thenafi DEX is its diversified source of liquidity, called the liquidity hub which is powered by the on-chain solver auction, its own liquidity pools, and market makers via API key, ensuring it offers the best prices and fees on the market;
• Alpha: Perpetual DEX enabling users to trade with up to 60x leverage on more than 160 token pairs. It implements a unique “Intent-Based” approach, connecting users with on-chain to third parties who are able to provide liquidity for the specific perpetual trade, thus offering deeper liquidity.
• Arena: Web3 social platform for trading competitions designed to incentivize users to trade within the Thena Finance ecosystem and earn rewards based on their trading performance. 
• Thenafi Bridge: A cross-chain bridge powered by the Polyhedra network, connecting the BNB L1 mainnet and opBNB L2 chains. 
• Warp (under development): Since Thena fi hasn’t launched Warp, it is hard to describe clearly its classification and design, yet it is most likely to be an IDO launchpad with a tiered model, allowing users to enter the BNB chain ecosystem projects early and assisting web3 startups with collecting funds.

🪙 Thena token: $THE is a utility token of the Thena finance protocol, which is used to earn rewards from liquidity providers, as well as participating in governance votings and revenue sharing via staking $THE coins. According to the docs, the current tokenomics structure mentioned by the project is only an Initial tokenomics which will be up-to-date only at the TGE while the final tokenomics hasn’t been presented by the protocol yet.

On October 26th, the Binance exchange - the company behind the BSC network and leading crypto exchange announced a Thena airdrop campaign to $BNB holders on its platform. It is worth noting that the platform has multiple times participated in promotion campaigns via the BNB Chain foundation such as BNB Airdrop Alliance Season 3 and Memecoins Renaissance.

Considering emerging interest among the crypto community in the Thena crypto app, our team completely analyzed the project and found some interesting pros and cons of the Thena finance: 

✅ Thena pros:

• Decent concept and design of the product;
• Relatively low token inflation rate (around 13% annually);
• Presence of security audits from the top tier companies;
• Very high Growth Marketing score;
• Above the average SMM, and SEO performances;
• Presence of the top tier companies as a partner, including Binance and BNB chain labs;
• The project CEO has rich work experience in prominent banks, such as BNP Paribas.

❌ Thena cons:

• Very weak Marketing Infrastructure, and Influencer marketing, performances;
• Low PR score;
• No info about the final token distribution model;
• No top-tier backers invested in the project;
• No work experience in the top tier companies among the other core team members.
